 Takako in Santa Fe Takako!
Her name, a gift from her father means kindness and love. In her heart is sunshine. When she creates a piece of jewelry these parts of her being are in each work of art. Born and raised in Japan she has wanted to live in America since she was a little girl. Always one to follow her own goals, she has traveled, studied and lived her own personally chosen lifestyle. While in Japan she designed and manufactured her own jewelry. In 1997 she visited Sedona Arizona, Taos and Santa Fe in the American southwest. Everyone she met loved her beautiful unique jewelry, so speaking very little English, but with a very strong desire to live in America, she decided to take the step. Returning home she made all the preparations, said good by to her family and friends and was back in America one month later. Her story was so unique, she was featured in News Week magazine. She now makes America her home. Her original jewelry is now sold in fine shops and galleries and is the beginning of a complete line of fashion accessories. "Each gem stone has a power. That power when connected with the right person makes their life richer. When I hold the gem stone in my hands I visualize a design for just that stone. With my jewelry designs I wish for the gem stone to become a Cinderella.
